May 22 2010 - Day 142

With all the earlier good weather we had, our fruit trees are doing really well. If it would just get warmer out, we may have an early crop. I love apricots, and you can't beat fresh from your own tree.

March 03 2010 - Day 62

It was so nice out today that Bruce and I decided to take a road trip out to Coombs. Of course anyone who has been to Coombs knows that one of the best things about it is their bakery... mmmm so delicious. I love their breads. The other thing I like about Coombs is the funky old buildings. I love the moss on the A-frame roof of this one.

Feb 13 2010 - Day 44

YUM! Got milk?

Matthew wanted to make some cookies for his friends birthday but his dad and I were on our way out. He said that he could do them without me (which he hasn't done before). I showed him where a few things were and then we left. He did call me 5 times on my cell phone "What does it mean to 'cream' the butter?", "How much margarine is 1/2 cup? I need 125ml", "What do I grease the cookie sheet with?", "Does it matter if I forgot to grease the cookie sheet? It's already in the oven". When we got home from our errands Matt had gone to the birthday party, and he had left us some cookies, and this 'sweet' note. I must say they turned out GREAT! Thanks Matt :D

Jan 12 2010 - Day 12

This is only the most amazing, delicious, decadent dessert known to man... er... make that WOMANkind. THE most deep dark chocolate cake with toffee sauce, vanilla bean gelato on a crunchy buttery tuille. I believe it's called a Sticky Toffee Chocolate... something or other, lol! Thanks Earls restaurant! and thank you Allison for making me share it with you.
